Order & Wonder Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how and when Order & Wonder (“I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, and shares information when you purchase a product from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.

This policy applies to Order & Wonder and does not apply to the practices of third parties I do not own or control, including Etsy. You can review Etsy’s own Privacy Policy for information about Etsy’s privacy practices.

Information I Collect

To fulfill your order and provide customer support, I may receive certain information that you authorize Etsy to provide to me, such as your name, email address, order details, and other information associated with your purchase. You may also choose to provide additional information when you contact me directly.

For digital products, I do not require a postal address unless it is otherwise necessary for your transaction or provided to me through Etsy.

Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It

I collect, use, and retain personal information only when reasonably necessary to:

Provide and fulfill your order;
Respond to questions and provide customer support;
Resolve disputes or address problems with an order;
Comply with Etsy’s Seller Policy and Terms of Use;
Improve my products and services;
Comply with applicable legal, tax, regulatory, or accounting obligations; and
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims when necessary.

Where applicable, I rely on contractual necessity, legal obligations, legitimate business interests, or your consent as the legal basis for processing personal information. These are among the legal bases identified in Etsy’s privacy-policy guidance.

Marketing Communications

Purchasing from Order & Wonder does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.

If I offer a newsletter or other marketing communications in the future, I will only send them when you have affirmatively chosen to receive them or when otherwise permitted by applicable law. You may withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time.

I will not use contact information received solely through an Etsy transaction to send unsolicited promotional messages.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Your information is important to me, and I do not sell or rent your personal information.

I may share information in limited circumstances, including:

Etsy: As necessary to provide my services and comply with Etsy’s policies and terms.
Service providers: With trusted third parties that perform services necessary to operate Order & Wonder, but only to the extent reasonably necessary for those services.
Business transfers: If Order & Wonder is sold, merged, or reorganized, information may be transferred as part of that transaction where permitted by law.
Legal and safety requirements: When I reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful requests, enforce agreements, prevent fraud or security issues, or protect the rights and safety of customers or others.

These categories reflect the limited disclosure circumstances Etsy recommends sellers address.

Data Retention

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide my services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy.

I may retain certain information longer when necessary to comply with legal, tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

International Data Transfers

Order & Wonder is based in the United States. Etsy and other service providers used in connection with my business may process or store information in the United States or other jurisdictions.

As a result, personal information may be transferred to countries with privacy and data-protection laws that differ from those where you live. Where required by applicable law, such transfers will be handled using an appropriate lawful mechanism.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

Request access to personal information I hold about you;
Request correction of inaccurate information;
Request deletion or restriction of certain information;
Object to certain uses of your information;
Withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent; and

Some rights may be subject to exceptions, such as information I am legally required to retain. Etsy specifically identifies access, correction/restriction/deletion, objection, and regulatory complaints among rights that may apply to buyers in territories such as the EU.

For information held directly by Etsy, you may need to contact Etsy to exercise your rights regarding that information.
